Critical Literacy - Reading 5.3 - Basic Logical Concepts

This blog title Basic Logical Concept. In this chapter, it tells us about the argument called deductive and inductive arguments. Deductive arguments means that it try to prove the conclusion that had been made in one conclusion while inductive arguments we can simply claim that their conclusion likely or probably given the premises the result. In indicator word test, it uses to signal the premises or conclusion. The indicator word test is used when our argument is in the middle either inductive or deductive. The indicator word test is extremely helpful. In conclusion, the indicator word test is very helpful because it can let we know either the conclusion is deductive or inductive.

Critical Literacy - Reading 5.1 - Australia's Methadone Mess

The article is about the usage of heroin that was replaced by methadone. This article focusing on heroin addict in Australia. Firstly methadone using for heroin addicted to prevent their addict but some quite of time their switched to methadone. However methadone has some similarities of effect with the heroin. The Australia government has didn’t expect the methadone has bad effects. The heroin addict found out that the methadone also has the same affect same the heroin but the duration of the effectiveness is shorter. At the first methadone was introduced the government supplied in capsule shape. However the addict finds out that by using capsule the effectiveness is less than liquid, so the addict upgraded to convert the capsule into liquid and do inject themselves thru the nerves. By using this way the drug effect are faster sent to the brain.
